Immortalise. Make Gifts!
One of my favourite forms of art is to give the perfect gift. It immortalises you, but in a way that there is always warmth when you are remembered. I say this after receiving a lot many phone calls from people who just randomly found my note, or read my letter when they were low, or when they first showed my gift to their fiancés. Believe it or not, even the coldest person keeps a good gift for as long as they can take care of it. It is amazing how good it has made me feel in return, almost as is reassuring me that there is some justice in the world, good done by you comes back to you. Or close.
So, for self-confessed completely selfish reasons, I love giving gifts. There is a great joy in it, even in spending hours trying to find or make the perfect gift. In the many hours that I have spent over gifts, I have learnt a thing or two about them. And almost all of them have a story. This blog is a collection of these lessons, of these ideas and of these stories. At the risk of revealing my secrets that will make people aware of my real motivation behind their gifts, I write this with another selfish reason – it forces me to have new ideas for gifts.
Moreover it might help me create a platform for people to share their ideas, and maybe use mine, and fulfil another of my passion for stories. I love those, and I know gifts always make some. So please, do share your ideas, stories, suggestions – I love feedback, and thoroughly enjoy intelligent one. It also motivates me, so think about it, it is a kind of gift you are giving me, and there begins our mutual admiration (I hope!)!
If you want to brainstorm ideas for gifting, I would be more than happy to do so, just email me! Ditto about help in making gifts. Details coming up soon!
So there. Happy gifting people! :)
Cheers!
